DAN EWING’S EX MARNI LITTLE REVEALS HER EXCITING NEWS
They’re set to tie the knot next month in Mexico, but a wedding isn’t the only thing Karl Stefanovic and fiancee Jasmine Yarbrough are planning. The couple are also looking to start a family.
And if the pair’s recent Instagram posts are anything to go by, it could happen sooner rather than later.
“Every child deserves to have a loving home,” Jasmine, 34, captioned a snap in support of
World Adoption Day last week, hinting that she and Karl, 44, could be looking into the process. There’s no doubt adoption could certainly be on the cards for the pair with Karl having previously admitted to having undergone a vasectomy. “I have had the snip now,” he revealed back in 2010. At the time, Karl was married to his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn with whom he shares three children – Jackson, Ava and River. And despite reports Karl was considering having a vasectomy reversal in order to have children with Jasmine, New Idea understands the couple have discussed other options.
“Of course Jas wants to have kids,” a source reveals.
“For years Jas has focused on starting her business and now that’s going well, she is thinking more and more about being a mum especially because so many of her friends have little ones now.”
According to our source, while Jasmine is keen to have her own children with Karl, the Queensland native is a passionate advocate for adoption and thinks she and Karl would be able to give a child less fortunate a happy and healthy home.
“When the time comes, Jas will be a great mum, but for now they’re just taking it one step at a time and that means focusing on the wedding.”
After celebrating her nuptials in October with her second husband Dave Robertshaw, Dan Ewing’s ex, Marni Little, tells New Idea she’s expecting her second child in May 2019.
Marni says she has been quite reserved about telling people this time around, as she previously miscarried at 11 weeks.
“Even now at 13 weeks I want to be able to check it every day to make sure it’s OK! Dave’s been incredible and has been trying to relieve me of any life stresses – he wants to make sure we are both safe and happy,” reveals Marni, who has recently had a few altercations with Dan after their acrimonious split.
Dan was served with two AVOS after he allegedly was abusive to Dave during a custody handover with their 4-year-old son Archie.
Dan claims the two AVOS have been withdrawn, but Marni says they have been merged into one and are still pending court – yet that doesn’t take away from their happy news.
“We are incredibly fortunate to be adding to our family. I cut it really close with the dress fitting and definitely lost my yoga stomach for our honeymoon, but it is all worth it! It is something that was in our mind, but we wanted to wait until our life and home were settled, especially for Archie,” spills Marni.
“It feels like a really good time for us. We moved back to Sydney from the Central Coast in April and have spent the last six months on our businesses and settling Archie into a routine and a new community. He’s loving his preschool and his friends, but he was constantly asking when we were going to have more kids for him,” she adds.
“He wants 10 … He’d like to call them all Archie but we told him the house may get a little confusing so he said “some could be Archer”. Dave is over the moon. He had always wanted children and getting to be Archie’s stepdad has been such a massive honour for him.”
“When we found out we were expecting I think Dave’s bond with Archie grew even more. It’s been really beautiful to watch. I’m extremely lucky.”
