BEC & LLEYTON REMARRIED

AMID RUMOURS OF A SPLIT, THE AUSSIE PAIR DECLARE THEIR LOVE

-

They may have seen their fair share of split rumours over the years, but despite the dramas of the past decade, Bec and Lleyton Hewitt are stronger than ever!

So much so, New Idea has learned the glamorous couple are now planning to renew their vows in a lavish ceremony. The pair first said their “I dos” at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo in July 2005 and then welcomed their first child Mia, now 13, just four months later. Now, following two more children – Cruz, 9, and Ava, 8 – Lleyton’s tennis career skyrocketing, a relocation to the Bahamas, followed by a move back to Melbourne, Bec and Lleyton finally feel able to relax, breathe and take stock of their relationship. Bec and Lleyton have decided to get married again for a few reasons, a source reveals. “Mostly they just feel that now is the right time to renew their vows now that Lleyton’s tennis career has wrapped up, their kids are growing up and they’re ready to start this new stage of their lives,” explains an insider. ‘They’ve had such a whirlwind relationship from the start – getting engaged after just a few months, having Mia straight away then going on tour and travelling the world for 10 years through the highs and lows of Lleyton’s career.

“Not to mention two more kids,” the source added.

The 35-year-old actress previously spoke of the pressures of their fast-paced courtship since they first met.

“We caught up and that was it. It was such a whirlwind, which I think was part of the reason why we ended up with such a lot of attention – because it was after only six weeks that we got engaged,” she told Stellar.

Another big factor behind the couple’s decision to renew their vows is the kids, who have been wanting to watch their mum and dad get married again for years.

“They always pull out photos of Bec and Lleyton’s wedding and go through them. So they felt it would be nice to have another ceremony and involve Mia, Cruz and Ava this time. The whole family will be involved. It’s going to be so special,” adds the source.

And no expense will be spared for the ceremony as the couple plan to go all out and make it an unforgettable day.

“Bec and Lleyton are going the whole hog with it. They’ve even had ‘second time around’ hens and stag parties, with Bec taking off with her girlfriends to Queensland while Lleyton had a boy’s weekend with some mates in the Bahamas. They’re really letting their hair down and enjoying the whole experience.”

The news of a second wedding comes hot on the heels of persistent split rumours, with various sources over the years claiming the couple were “living separate lives” and they were “bickering non-stop”.

However their management has fiercely denied any claims, with Lleyton’s manager

“THEY ARE BOTH VERY HAPPY IN THEIR MARRIAGE AND SUPPORT THEIR KIDS IN ANY ENDEAVOURS”

David Drysdale stating: “They are both very happy in their marriage and support their children in any endeavours they undertake.” Tennis champ Lleyton has also declared that the pair “couldn’t be happier”.

It certainly would appear that after 13 years of marriage, the lovebirds are thick as thieves, with Bec sharing the secret to their long-lasting success. “We have a good little routine going. When Lleyton comes back from his commitments to his Bahamas-based tennis academy and role as the Davis Cup captain, which require him to travel frequently, he just lightens the load. He really likes to help and every morning he’s like, ‘No, no, you’ve done the school run for the last three weeks, so let me do it’,” Bec told Tennis World USA.

Earlier this year on their 13th wedding anniversary, Lleyton took to Instagram to express his love. “Happy Anniversary to my beautiful bride. The best 13 years ever!” Lleyton added the hashtag, “You complete me”.
