Want to get an amazing body like Delta’s – fast? Well, you can try this new diet trend which is set to take the world by storm.

Six years after creating the 5:2 diet, Dr Michael Mosley is back with a new weight-loss plan.

The BBC doctor claims it combines the health benefits of intermitte­nt fasting with a very low-kilojoule diet to promote rapid weight loss.

Elements of the diet include sticking to a low-carbohydra­te Mediterran­ean menu and eating within a narrow time window of 8 to 12 hours. The diet begins with two weeks of eating just 3340 kilojoules (800 calories) a day within time-restricted eating (TRE) hours. Then comes the next stage when TRE continues but dieters can eat more as well as including two 3340-kilojoule fast days a week.

Mosley says that even though crash-dieting has always had a bad reputation, if done properly, it can be safe and effective. He even claims dieters can expect to lose five kilograms after two weeks.

“Losing weight fast initially may actually help you keep it off,” he says.
