These out­spo­ken broth­ers get on like a house on fire in the kitchen, but only one can cook! “I started cook­ing about a month be­fore we found out we’re go­ing on the show,” ad­mits Austin, 21. But Josh, 25, who started cook­ing at 12 years old, says you shouldn’t un­der­es­ti­mate his brother.“he is a quick learner so watch out!”

AMANDA & BLAKE BROTHER AND SIS­TER, WA

Grow­ing up to­gether, these si­b­lings credit their cook­ing skills to help­ing out in the kitchen at home. “We have learned a lot by trial and er­ror cook­ing at home,” shares Blake, 32. While they are ready to have some fun in the kitchen, Amanda, 29, ad­mits she has her eyes on the prize. “I am not here to make friends,” she says.

MICK & JODIEANNE HUBBY AND WIFE, VIC

Af­ter 16 years of mar­riage, Mick and Jodie-anne have plenty of prac­tice cook­ing to­gether. “It’s some­thing we have al­ways done to­gether ever since we first started dat­ing. Usu­ally en­joy­ing beer or wine at the same time,” laughs JodieAnne, 49, who started cook­ing at 8 years old. As for when Mick, 47, learnt to cook he says: “When I met Jodie-anne!”

ANDY & RUBY PAS­SION­ATE PERU­VIANS, QLD

Fiery friends Andy and Ruby plan to show Aus­tralia what real Pe­ru­vian food is. “We signed up be­cause we want to put Peru on the map,” says Andy, 31. “A lot of Aussies are still very un­fa­mil­iar with Pe­ru­vian cui­sine so we want to be able to show­case how amaz­ing our food is.” Ruby, 39, adds: “We are go­ing to bring that Latin fire to the com­pe­ti­tion.”

It’s time to get out the bub­bly be­cause Aus­tralia’s most beloved cook­ing show, My Kitchen Rules, is cel­e­brat­ing its land­mark 10th Sea­son. This year will see the teams serve up a record num­ber of per­fect scores, as they face fresh and ex­cit­ing chal­lenges and never-be­fore-seen lo­ca­tions.

STACEY & ASH RE­CENTLY EN­GAGED, NSW

Don’t be fooled by these By­ron Bay love­birds’ laid-back at­ti­tude. “We can have fun and keep ev­ery­thing light but knuckle down and get the job done when needs be,” says Stacey, 27. “We work well in the kitchen to­gether,” adds Ash, 34. “And al­ways have each other’s backs!”

IBBY & ROMEL SOCIALITES, NSW

Dy­namic duo Ibby and Romel are plan­ning to raise the bar this sea­son. “We will work harder than you can imag­ine and give this com­pe­ti­tion our heart and soul,” says Ibby, 30. As for their fel­low com­peti­tors, out­go­ing Romel, 42, isn’t afraid to share his thoughts. “I am not shy to speak my mind and put peo­ple in check,” he says.

KARITO & IAN MAR­RIED COU­PLE, WA

Perth cou­ple Karito, 33, and Ian, 37, are set to spice up the kitchen with their dance moves. “We al­ways have fun and even dance while we cook,” re­veals Karito, who learnt to cook from her grandma. “We both be­lieve that to make food taste ex­tra de­li­cious you need to put your heart into it and have fun while cook­ing.”

CHRIS & LES­LEY FLIGHT AT­TEN­DANTS, QLD

These Queens­land col­leagues ooze con­fi­dence. “I wouldn’t be here be­liev­ing I could win if I thought I had big weak­nesses,” self­con­fessed show-off Chris, 57, ad­mits. As for what Les­ley, 50, will bring to the com­pe­ti­tion: “style, grace, class, a true team spirit,” she re­veals.
