BRAD & JEN CAUGHT OUT AT OSCARS PARTY
After their shock reunion at her recent 50th birthday bash, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are now preparing to reveal their relationship to the world.
An insider tells New Idea the couple have decided this week’s Academy Awards mark the perfect opportunity to let the world know that they’re back on track.
“Brad and Jen are planning to head to an Oscars party together – they’re finally ready to make their new romance official,” says a friend of Jen’s.
The 2019 Oscars are set to be an important night for Brad, who has a producer credit for Vice – which is nominated in the Best Film category, among others.
In mid-january, Jennifer’s publicist said that “as of now, she’s not going” to the ceremony but “there’s always a possibility” that she’d attend one of the many afterparties.
This would chime well with Brad and Jennifer’s desire to ensure their big announcement is as low-key as such an event will allow.
“After months of keeping things under wraps and clandestine dating because of Angelina, they’re ready to take the big leap and hit the awards circuit together.”
Meanwhile the couple are facing the possibility of running into Brad’s ex, Angelina Jolie, who is likely to be a fixture at the awards ceremony after lending her public support to Best Film favourite Roma during the hotly contested Oscars lead-up period.
“Ange has made their lives hell – pulling Brad in a million directions and doing her best to tear them apart, using the kids against him. But they’re finally putting their foot down against her and want to go public. For the first time, Brad is putting Jen in front of Ange,” continues the insider.
“And while they’re really excited, Jen’s also pretty nervous – she doesn’t want the spotlight to just be on them during the Oscars, to have that much scrutiny.
“That’s why they’ve decided to not walk the red carpet together – they’re going to subtly slip into an after party and make their first appearance that way.
“But it’s still really huge for them. Everyone who’s anyone will be at the Oscars
after-parties and it’s the event of the year. They’ll be reestablishing themselves as Hollywood’s biggest couple.
“It will be the best night of their lives.”
Meanwhile, a report in Grazia UK has explained how the couple came to reconnect and how, after exchanging messages over email for years – for birthdays and special events in particular – “that changed when Brad split from Angelina”.
While Jennifer supported Brad as he dealt with the aftermath of Angelina filing for divorce in 2016, he did the same when Jen split up with her second husband, Justin Theroux, last year.
“It was in the summer of last year that Brad and Jen really reconnected, having both been through really difficult times in their relationships,” added the insider.
