Her court case may be over, but one of the most horrific chapters in Irene’s (Lynne Mcgranger) life is far from reaching its climax.

In a horrifying turn of events that the Summer Bay stalwart could never have seen coming, her support-group friend Teresa (Simone Mcaullay) arrives at the Diner covered in blood. Safe to say, Irene receives the shock of her life when she takes a look at Teresa.

Earlier in the week, a distraught Irene reveals to Leah (Ada Nicodemou) that she’s just learnt that Bella’s (Courtney Miller) online stalker Tommy (Adam Sollis) has decided to launch a civil case against her. With a million dollar compensation on his radar, Tommy has every intention to take Irene for all she has – and he has made it clear he also has Leah and the Diner in his sights. What’s more, the law is now on Tommy’s side. While Irene wants to offer Tommy a settlement, Leah is urging them to fight it. But it seems Irene has no fight left in her.

“Even though Irene does not have to spend time in jail, she still faces a civil action,” says Irene. “She’s devastated.

“Irene also thinks that if only Leah had listened to her earlier and let her transfer the business to Leah, they wouldn’t now stand to lose the Diner,” says Lynne.

Determined to do whatever she can to help her ailing friend, Leah decides to make contact with Irene’s support group. But the last thing Leah or Irene are expecting is for Teresa to arrive at the Diner in a bloodied state. What could have happened to Teresa?
