THE ROYAL WOMEN ARE DELIGHTED TO BE EXPANDING THEIR FAMILIES
It’s the happy news that has royal watchers thrilled – both Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, are planning on announcing their pregnancies in the coming weeks. The royal women were both glowing during their recent tours and now it can be revealed the reason may be that they are both expecting.
Kate and William have been planning on having a fourth child for some time, with the duchess admitting back in March that she was feeling “broody” during a walkabout in Northern Ireland.
Now, recent photos of Kate in Pakistan show the duchess sporting a small bump, sparking rumours she may already be pregnant. What’s more, Kate showed off her maternal side when she visited a college for girls in Islamabad. The duchess spent time chatting and laughing with the school children and was clearly in her element, suggesting she could be feeling clucky.
The couple are yet to make an official announcement as they didn’t want it to overshadow their recent tour to Pakistan, but it’s believed that royal fans can expect one any day.
Further adding to speculation that Kate is expecting her fourth child is the fact that the couple have taken a doctor on tour with them for the first time.
The Queen and Charles are known for travelling with a doctor, however, a medic friend of William’s from his time working with the East Anglian Air Ambulance was included in their entourage, which is a first for the couple.
Given Kate’s history of hyperemesis gravidarum in the early stages of pregnancy, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the couple wanted the peace of mind of having a medic on hand.
In even more exciting news, it’s double joy for the palace as Meghan and Harry are said to be expecting their second child.
The couple attended the Wellchild Awards in London last week, which celebrates the achievements of the country’s seriously ill young people and those who go above and beyond to help. Meghan and Harry were
clearly enjoying interacting with the children at the event and during his speech Harry shed a tear as he spoke fondly of Meghan’s pregnancy.
“This year it resonates in a
different way because now I’m a father,” Harry said. “Last year when my wife and I attended we knew we were expecting our first child – no-one else did at the time, but we did.
“I remember squeezing Meghan’s hand so tight during the awards, both of us thinking what it would be like to be parents one day, and more so, what it would be like to do everything we could to protect and help our child should they be born with immediate challenges or become unwell over time. “And now, as parents, being here and speaking to all of you pulls at my heart strings in a way I could have never understood until I had a child of my own.”
The Duke of Sussex is clearly feeling nostalgic for the duchess’ pregnancy, but now a source has revealed to New Idea that Harry’s emotions could be due to the fact that Meghan is expecting.
“Harry was overcome with emotion from the moment he stepped in – admitting backstage that he was struggling to hold it all in as Meghan clearly showed off her tiny bump and he revealed how they were in the exact same position as last year just days away from announcing the pregnancy,” the source says.
“Having a son with another on the way at such a poignant event really choked him up and he revealed afterwards how the pregnancy news had magnified and intensified all his feelings even more so.”
Prince Harry wasn’t the only one feeling the waterworks coming on, with Duchess Meghan also becoming emotional during his speech.
“Meghan was also incredibly emotional and shed some tears watching him,” the source adds.
“She admitted how the overwhelming pregnancy hormones had made her break down frequently and how they couldn’t believe how lucky they were with their dream family.”
