MESSAGES FROM BEYOND

When Elizabeth’s father passed away 15 years ago, she dreamt that he came to her with a gentle smile, holding out the guitar he’d given to her when she was a child. To Elizabeth, the message was clear. Her father was inviting her to pick up the instrument again, a subtle and very personal suggestion that served as the perfect reminder for Elizabeth that her father was still with her.

Elizabeth, a counsellor and author from NSW, who shares her story with me on this week’s episode of The Ghost Files podcast, has been on a powerful journey of spiritual awakening since losing her parents. Like many of the people who’ve shared their stories with me over the years, Elizabeth’s relationship with her dad is better today than it ever was. “We have such a strong bond in spirit,” she tells me.

When Elizabeth’s mum passed away two years ago, she began to have extraordinarily vivid dreams which assured her that her mum was OK. As with the dream of her dad with the guitar, these were more than mere dreams, Elizabeth points out, these are visitations. One in particular included her mother and a celebrity whose recent tragic death had made headlines. In her vision, Elizabeth saw her mum and this high-profile person “merging”, and in that moment the grieving daughter had an epiphany that brought her immense healing: “We are all one,” Elizabeth realised.

It’s not just dream-visitations that Elizabeth’s parents use to communicate. She sees variations of her father’s name in signposts and number plates multiple times a day, and her mum once gifted her an abundance of rosebuds that seemed to appear from nowhere.

Be on the lookout for these signs or you might miss them. Elizabeth reminds us: “After a loved one passes, you can still have a relationship, only in a different language.”
