JULIA PREPARES TO THROW DANNY OUT!

HOLLYWOOD LOCKDOWN SPLITS

-

Living in lockdown has reportedly turned Julia Roberts’ marriage into a ticking time bomb. The 52-year-old is believed to be at her wits’ end with husband Danny Moder, 51, resulting in the A-lister making a shock decision to sell his house – and potentially turf him out along with it!

AS THE COUPLE’S MARRIAGE HITS CRISIS POINT, JULIA MAKES SOME DRASTIC PROPERTY MOVES

Star magazine reported that the recent lockdown living arrangements as a result of the coronavirus outbreak have been disastrous for their relationship.

“Yes, they live in a mansion, but it’s not big enough to stop the arguing and nasty insults,” a source tells the publication.

An insider tells New Idea that despite the couple’s previous commitment to “working hard on their marriage” the lockdown has meant simmering issues have now been brought to a head.

According to the source, “the big elephant” in the room is that the pair can’t agree on where their family should be based. Julia’s preference is to “divide their time” between San Francisco and their ranch in New Mexico, while Danny is much happier “being nearer to LA” so that he can surf and hike as often as he pleases.

In attempt to make her plans a reality, it has been confirmed that Julia recently spent $13.6 million on a San Francisco property – with the source adding that “she plunked down on this place and Danny really didn’t have a lot of choice in the matter”.

But the source claims that the couple have attempted to broker some middle ground by listing one of their other properties for sale. “They’ve compromised for now by parting with one of their properties in the sprawling compound,” the source explains.

The property is a guest house across from their home – and it reportedly doesn’t hold entirely fond memories for the couple. According to reports, filmmaker Danny lived there during the darkest days of their marriage. Although the decision to sell it appears unified, ultimately the source believes it could be a band-aid solution.

“Julia’s preference is a more bohemian existence – she’s always dreamed about a more rural, low-key lifestyle,” the source explains, adding that Danny is determined to live nearby the California beaches and mountainside.

Another insider tells New Idea that although Julia appreciates Danny’s healthy lifestyle, she worries over his love of adrenaline-sports. “Julia is a homebody who loves curling up with a book … but Danny is addicted to real-life adventure in nature and staying in peak condition,” says the insider.

“Julia is convinced he’s taking dangerous risks at leaps and bounds and needs to slow it down.”
