BELLA AND NIKAU’S RELATIONSHIP HITS A DEVASTATING HURDLE

Since they shared their first kiss last week, Bella (Courtney Miller) and Nikau’s (Kawakawa Fox-reo) romance has continued to blossom.

And this week the loved-up young pair look set to take their relationship to the next level. But everything changes when a deeply troubled Bella hits crisis point!

“Bella has been through absolute trauma with her dad, with her family and with [her online stalker] Tommy,” says Courtney. “All she wants at the moment is to live a normal life and to be with Nik, but she’s not seeing the bigger picture.”

Indeed, what happens next will leave viewers stunned. In a shocking development, Bella is rushed to hospital.

“Bella just didn’t see this coming,” says Courtney. “She desperately needs help.”

Earlier in the week, Nikau asks Bella out on a date, with the young pair heading to the Surf Club to play pool before going to the movies.

“They’re really sweet and love being together,” says Courtney.

The next day, Bella confides in Willow (Sarah Roberts) about her first kiss with Nikau, before admitting to the personal trainer that she is thinking of taking the relationship to the next level. Willow tells her she will know when the time is right.

“Willow is the one Bella trusts, so she opens up to her,” says Courtney. “Willow gives her some good advice. She is like a mother figure to Bella – she is Bella’s ‘family’.”

Convinced she is ready, Bella prepares to take things further with Nikau – only for the teen to become panicked in the heat of the moment.

Demanding Nikau leave, an anguished Bella locks herself in her room. Racing off for help, Nikau finds Ryder (Lukas Radovich), who in turn calls Colby (Tim Franklin).

After breaking down Bella’s door, Colby rushes his sister to hospital.
