5-Ingredient Chilli Con Carne Subs

Serves 4, Prep and Cook: 25 mins

500g beef mince

120g sachet chilli con carne

seasoning

½ x 400g can kidney beans,

drained, rinsed

400g packet garlic bread 1 cup grated pizza cheese

1 Heat an oiled, non-stick medium frying pan over a high heat. Add beef. Cook, stirring to break up mince for about 8 minutes, or until well browned. Stir in seasoning and ¼ cup water, then beans. Cook, stirring for 1 minute. Remove from heat.

2 Meanwhile, separate garlic bread halves. Remove the paper insert. Place, cut-side up, on a large oven tray.

3 Cook in a hot oven (200C) for about 10 minutes, or until light golden. Remove. Spoon hot beef mixture evenly over bread halves. Sprinkle with cheese. Return to oven. Cook for a further 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and golden. Remove.

4 Transfer bread halves to a chopping board. Cut in half crossways. Serve with salad leaves (optional).
