Did you know it’s much cheaper to make your own cinnamon sugar rather than buy it? Simply combine ¼ cup granulated white sugar (not caster) with 1 tblsp ground cinnamon. Spoon into a clean jar and seal. Store in a cool, dark place for up to six months. It’s delicious generously sprinkled over porridge, hot buttered toast, crumpets and popcorn. Or beat into fresh ricotta and serve over stewed apples or pears. It will even give your favourite cup of coffee a sweet cinnamon lift!
