Kendall Jenner has come under fire since launching her own tequila brand, 818, with fans accusing the 25-year-old model of appropriating Mexican culture. And the backlash has left fellow tequila brand owner George Clooney, who co-produces Casamigos with best friend Rande Gerber, in a tough situation!
“Kendall has been heavily criticised for this move, but nobody has ever called out George,” shares a Hollywood insider, who reveals the father-of-two, 59, is now in the midst of a battle of the sexes with his wife, Amal.
“She wants George to step in and stick up for Kendall, but he’s refusing. The entire situation has caused friction,” dishes the source, who adds, “Amal is a staunch feminist and feels Kendall is being unfairly targeted, and that her husband should be a good ally and just speak up!”
