CLEAN YOUR PET the right way!

SAY GOODBYE TO PESKY ODOURS, STAINS AND FUR – GUARANTEED!

-

These handy pet-cleaning hacks will cut down the amount of time you spend scrubbing and mopping, plus, they’re budget friendly, too.

BRUSH BEFORE BATHTIME

Does your pooch shed fur everywhere? Here’s a solution which means you won’t be spending hours de-fuzzing your floors and furniture. Before every bath, be sure to brush your dog to remove all the loose fur. Another bonus? The drain won’t be clogged with it either.

KEEP THAT COLLAR CLEAN

It’s easy to forget, but a dog’s collar can get stinky. It’s on when they run in the park and it’s right near their drooling mouth, so the dirt and sweat can build up. Soak it in a sink full of warm water with a few drops of pet shampoo and hang it out to dry. While you’re at it, throw in the leash as well.

A NEW USE FOR A SQUEEGEE

You’ve vacuumed, but still there seems to be fur all over the carpet – it just won’t come off ! Enter the humble squeegee. Simply drag the rubber blade along the carpet surface and watch the trail of hair and fur that follows.

WASH TOYS IN A WHITE VINEGAR SOLUTION

Gather all the toys, pull ropes and balls that your dog regularly chews on and

plays with, and place them in a sink full of warm water with a cup of white vinegar. Drain and lay out in the sun to dry. This is an easy way to get rid of odours. Afterwards, you can present them to your dog again – they might think it’s a brand new toy!

STOP THE CHEW

Precious furniture can be ruined in minutes when a puppy starts gnawing at the legs of a table or chairs. There is a solution, thankfully. Rub some citrus essential oil over the areas the dog likes to chew. They hate the aroma, so will stay well away.

THE DUCT TAPE TRICK

Forget the lint roller! Extra-sticky duct tape will do the trick of getting fur off your clothes, as well as the sofa in double

the time. Wrap some around your hand, sticky side out. Or if you want even more traction, wrap some around an old paint roller cover.

NO MORE INSIDE WEES

If you have a new puppy, you’ll know that toileting inside is par for the course. To discourage your pup from doing their business in the same area again, and to get rid of any odours, experts recommend cleaners with enzymes such as Biozet. Use paper towels to blot the urine first. Baking soda will also help to

neutralise odours.

ANOTHER USE FOR RUBBER GLOVES

Another way to get rid of fur and hair off the couch, on the carpet or off your black blazer, is to wear a pair of rubber gloves. The fur will stick to the rubber and when you’re done, all you need to do is soak the gloves in the sink. Simply let the fur float to the top, gather it and throw it away.
