$40 MILLION MAKEOVER!

THE PAIR HAVE TRANSFORMED FROM CUTE COUPLE TO A-LIST POWERHOUSE!

-

Hamish Blake and Zoë Foster Blake are one of Australia’s biggest celebrity power couples – replete with all the fancy houses, cars and good looks that go with it!

But it wasn’t always the case for the now high-profile pair, who have gone from geeky to glamorous over the course of their time in the spotlight.

The couple first met in the early 2000s, when Hamish and his comedy partner, Andy Lee, were breaking out. Zoë was working as a magazine beauty editor at the time, and was introduced to Hamish when he hosted a beauty function.

“I just thought he was very funny straight up,” Zoë revealed in a recent interview with Mamamia, adding that they “became very firm friends” but that “there was nothing romantic about it”.

Soon, things did develop, with Zoë, 40, explaining that she and Hamish elected to “take it slow” as they “didn’t want to get it wrong”.

Once they became official, the couple were quickly engaged within 18 months. They married a year later in 2012, in an intimate ceremony in NSW’S Wolgan Valley. Two years later they welcomed their son, Sonny, then daughter Rudy arrived in 2017 and completed their adorable family.

As their personal life settled, both Zoë and Hamish’s professional worlds flourished.

Funnyman Hamish, 39, has become a fixture in the Australian entertainment biz alongside Andy, and together they became a dominating force in both radio and television.

Now estimated to have a net worth of over $4 million, Hamish – who won the TV Week Gold Logie Award in 2012 – started hosting LEGO Masters in 2019. Recently, the Nine Network picked up the ratings juggernaut until 2023.

However, it’s his wife’s move into the beauty industry that has really catapulted the family’s fortune.

After penning a string of popular books, Zoë made a masterstroke by launching Go-to Skin Care in 2014. It was borne out of her years of experience as a beauty writer at titles such as Cosmopolitan.

“I just wanted it to be simple and uncomplicated, clean, trustworthy products that you wouldn’t be wasting money on and would know which ingredients actually worked,” Zoë told the New York Times.

In 2020, amid the global pandemic, the business had its biggest year to date, with The Australian Financial Review

reporting that Go-to made a $26.5 million profit.

The boom transformed the already successful family into multimillionaires and saw Zoë named among AFR’S

Young Rich List last year, with a wealth of $36 million. The phenomenal success subsequently prompted the family to move from Melbourne to Sydney to be nearby Go-to’s head office.

Long before the success of Go-to, Hamish and Zoë had already made their financial mark in real estate.

In 2016, they splashed out on a $5.5 million home in Melbourne suburb Richmond, which had previously been featured on Grand Designs Australia. According to inside sources, the pair sold the striking inner city property earlier this year for a record sale price of $6.3 million. Since relocating interstate, the family have upgraded to an $8.9 million mansion in Sydney’s exclusive suburb of Vaucluse.

Meanwhile, the couple’s finances and fortune aren’t the only thing on the upswing, with Hamish in particular undergoing a noticeable glow-up over the years.
