THE QUEEN PROMOTES SOPHIE & ANNE!
Still grieving over the loss of her beloved husband, Prince Philip, the Queen is leaning hard on her daughter Princess Anne and daughter-in-law Sophie, Countess of Wessex, more than ever.
“Anne and Sophie have been amazing,” says a palace insider. “They spent her entire birthday with her when all the other royals had gone back to work, or in Charles’ case, run off to Wales.”
An insider tells New Idea Her Majesty is so grateful to have Anne and Sophie to count on that she’s even considering giving them a promotion and redrawing her will to ensure that they know they are appreciated.
“She’s thinking of leaving Sophie and Prince Edward a prime part of her privately owned Sandringham Estate.”
Anne, meanwhile, has no interest in moving, and is very much at home at her Gatcombe Park property, so the Queen’s had to think outside the box.
“The Queen is obsessed with her racehorses and still actively races a handful of prize thoroughbreds,” says a source. “They really should go to Prince Charles as her heir, but he’s never shown much beyond basic interest in racing, and the Queen wants her horses to go to someone who will truly appreciate them. She feels Anne will be their rightful owner.”
