Indeed, conspiracy theorists claim the 6-year-old’s passing was faked, and she re-emerged 12 years later as Katy Perry with her hit song ‘I Kissed A
Girl’. Speculation reached a frenzy when Katy referenced the deceased in her memoir, writing, “[I was not] one of those stage kids. There was no Jonbenet Ramsey in me waiting to burst out.” Katy subsequently denied she was Jonbenet in a 2017 interview, saying, “Um wait, no, that is not real.”
