BEC & LLEYTON’S BIG MOVE TO SYDNEY!

A NEW BEGINNING IS ON THE HORIZON FOR THE HEWITT FAMILY

-

They’ve called Melbourne home since they returned from living abroad in the Bahamas, but Bec and Lleyton Hewitt could be upping sticks again – this time to Sydney!

In exclusive photos obtained by New Idea, the

Hewitt’s mansion in the exclusive Melbourne suburb, Toorak, appears to be getting spruced up amid whispers within the community that the family are preparing to sell.

Interestingly, insiders say Bec and Lleyton, who tied the knot in 2005, and their three children Mia, 15, Cruz, 12, and Ava, 10,

are “rarely seen” at the Georgian-style mansion that boasts a $12.7 million price tag.

The family’s absence at the property has fuelled speculation the home is currently vacant as they work to revamp it before it is placed on the market.

Earlier this month, painters were seen at the property, with onlookers revealing the facade was receiving a “picture-ready” refurb – including detailing around the ornate windows.

Bec, 38, and Lletyon, 40, purchased the home in 2017, after selling their Kenthurst, NSW property in 2016. But it seems Bec’s home city is once again calling the power couple.

‘PAINTERS WERE SEEN AT THE HOME WORKING ON A REVAMP’

Those closest to the duo hint that a sale of the family home might mean exciting new career opportunities for Bec and tennis ace Lleyton.

Upon Bec’s big return to TV for Dancing with the Stars: All Stars, the family temporarily relocated to Sydney while she was filming last year. That November,

Bec was also spotted scoping out a multimillion-dollar home in Manly, not far from where she grew up and filmed her well-known role as Hayley Smith on Home and Away.

At the time, rumours were rife she could be moving back to Sydney permanently, after her eldest child, Mia, picked up parttime work at luxury fashion retailer, Dior. With deep pockets and the prospect of future work in Sydney, there’s no telling where the couple might land. But one thing is certain, when it comes to property, the Hewitt family have exquisite taste!

Hollywood royalty, Catherine Zetajones and Michael Douglas attended the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards together last week – and appeared more loved-up than ever as they ruled over the red carpet.

Michael, 77, who was nominated for his Netflix comedy series, The Kominsky Method, only had eyes for his wife of 21 years, who later admitted she was very honoured to be by her husband’s side on his big night.

“I always like to see my husband nominated ... I’ve become a very proud wife,” said Catherine, who looked stunning in a strapless scarlett gown and diamonds.

Sources say it’s great to see the duo so happy, given just a few months ago there were rumours the pair, who briefly split in 2013 before getting back together, were going through a rocky patch again.

“They were super lovedup and happy to be in each other’s company, which is a huge relief,” tells an insider. “For a while there, word around town was that they were living separate lives.”

Michael and Catherine, 51, who share children Carys, 18, and Dylan, 21, have always loved the spotlight. And being back at the Emmys was just the boost their love life needed after almost two years of lying low due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Catherine was a tad worried their marriage was becoming a little too dreary for her liking, with all the big Hollywood events they used to live for being cancelled or unsafe,” adds the source. “She was overheard saying that it felt so good to be back!”
