THINGS QUICKLY TURNED AWKWARD BETWEEN THE A-LIST CELEBS

Jennifer Lopez may have rekindled her relationship with Ben Affleck, but it seems she’s still got a way to go to impress his mates.

A source tells New Idea that J.LO and Ben recently went on a double date with his pals George and Amal Clooney – but things didn’t go all that well.

The Tinseltown insider reveals that J.LO, 52, was “absolutely terrified” of meeting the impressive and well-spoken human rights lawyer, and the dinner date quickly turned awkward.

“Amal has a very quick brain and she speaks quickly as well, so poor Jen was completely bamboozled,” explains the insider, who insists Amal, 43, is “actually a huge J.LO fan” and did everything in her power to put the singer at ease.

Although the initial meeting was rocky, Amal is said to be “not giving up” on the potential friendship and has high hopes J.LO will be more comfortable as the foursome continue to catch up regularly.

Powerhouses J.LO and Amal tried their best, but their first encounter was said to have been rather awkward.
