HOW PINK SAVED LISA MARIE

FOR 20 YEARS, THEY’VE BEEN THERE THROUGH THICK AND THIN

-

Lisa Marie Presley and Pink are the first to admit they couldn’t have gone through the past couple of years without each other. In fact, the long-time besties, who are so close they used the same wedding planner, have vowed to have a ‘mums only’ spa weekend as soon as their current list of problems has eased.

“When things are crazy like it is now, they’ll be on the phone to each other two, three, sometimes more times a day,” says a mutual pal. “They’ve been there for each other through many ups and downs. Those two ladies are, sadly, trauma bonded for life.”

Just last month Lisa Marie, 53, was a lifeline for Pink, 42, as her husband, Carey Hart,

46, was undergoing a spinal operation. While Carey’s disc replacement procedure was successful, Lisa Marie was on hand for Pink and the kids, Willow, 10, and Jameson, 4.

“She’s like an aunt to those kids,” says the friend.

When Jameson and Pink caught COVID last year, Lisa Marie was the first one to call, offering her home as an alternative quarantine zone if they needed it.

Pink is the same for Lisa Marie and her twin daughters, Harper and Finley, 13. She was a pillar of support throughout Lisa’s painful divorce from the twins’ father, Michael Lockwood, and again when Lisa Marie’s son, Benjamin Keough, tragically died last year.

“That was a dangerous period for Lisa Marie, but Pink was key in her getting through the darkest moments,” explains the source. “Remember, Pink was also the one who helped Lisa Marie remain sober after she went to rehab five years ago.

“They’ve both gone through so much together and they bring out the warrior in each other, no matter how bad things get. The only thing they argue about is the fact that Pink wants her back in the recording studio again.”

Lisa Marie’s last album, Now What, was released in 2005 and even featured Pink on one of the songs, ‘Shine’. With her dad Elvis’ legacy looming over her, Lisa Marie is convinced no-one takes her seriously as a musician. Pink’s not giving up on her though. In fact, she and Lisa Marie spend hours jamming together, says the source.

“They do try to keep their friendship as lowprofile as possible because they need each other when the going gets tough.”
