ELLEN & PORTIA HOLDING UP CALISTA’S ALLY REBOOT
Calista Flockhart is determined to get an Ally Mcbeal revival happening – but she’s so far finding minimal interest in the project without the commitment of Portia de Rossi. In 2018, the Aussie actress, who played Nelle Porter in the hit legal show, announced she was quitting acting, and reportedly has no desire to break out of retirement now. However, according to a source, her wife, Ellen Degeneres, is actually behind her decision. “Portia’s ‘team’ have had the pitch since April … Calista’s had enough,” says the source. “She wants to get things moving and is willing to beg Ellen to let Portia do this.”
