EMMA WIGGLE’S SHOCK EXIT

Tiny toddler hearts broke across the country last week when Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins announced her departure from The Wiggles.

The beloved performer, who has been a member of the group for over a decade, released a statement explaining that she’d decided to hang up the yellow skivvy to focus on completing her studies.

“The pandemic has given me time to reflect on what is important in life,” read part of her statement. Emma went on to say that she plans to dedicate herself to her

PHD, which incorporat­es her “passion for sign language, dance and film editing”.

Emma, 32, concluded that she was “eternally grateful” to have been the first female Wiggle, and that the role “has given me so much joy and … memories that I will treasure forever.”

The Wiggles have already announced Emma’s replacemen­t, 15-year-old Latin dance star Tsehay Hawkins.
