‘EVEN MY KIDS LOVE ANDREW’

Michelle loves seeing ACP husband Andrew Blackman when they get the chance to catch up. “If you’re married to someone on-set you could do a lot worse than AB,” she laughs.

As Nurse Kate Bryant, her love affair with the handsome Harry Morrison captivated fans. “My youngest daughter loved watching a series he was in called Mortified, so I felt like

I was keeping up with what he was doing. The whole cast was like family,” says Michelle.

While the actress insists she’s happy to no longer be working alongside Fatso the wombat – who she jokes was “rude” and “cold” – she thoroughly enjoyed working with Aussie acting legend, Shane Withington.

“My favourite cast member to work with was Shane. He knew his lines and was a total pro, even when he had to learn some tonguetying medical jargon at the same time as performing [with] awkward instruments and fake blood,” she recalls.

To this day, Michelle says there’s never been anything quite like ACP on TV, but she’s grateful to have been involved in her “most loved” role.
