‘THERE WAS NEVER A DULL MOMENT!’
Andrew was fresh out of NIDA when he won the role as Dr Harry Morrison, a flashy city slicker who found love and loss during his tumultuous years in Wandin Valley.
“It was a joyous environment to work in and a testament to the producing team to cast such a diverse range of personalities,” Andrew tells New Idea. “From the infectious laughter of Georgie Parker and constant joking of Syd Heylen, to the quiet professionalism of Shane Porteous and gruff grandstanding of Brian Wenzel, there was never a dull moment.”
Andrew was starstruck when he auditioned opposite Shane Porteous, who played Dr Terrence Elliott. He was also in awe of veteran actress
Lorrae Desmond. The dad of two says he’d also love to work with his “daytime wife” Michelle Pettigrove again.
“She is brilliant and her effervescence is contagious. We were very close and bounced off each other.
I’d love the opportunity to work with her again at this stage of life. We were such young pups back then!”
