This week cameras will roll on The Block: Fans v Faves hotly anticipated auction, and despite millions to be made at the swanky Bronte Court site, insiders tell New Idea this year’s auction is going to be like no other!

Last week, Josh confirmed viewers are finally set to learn who took the infamous photo at the centre of the “biggest cheating scandal in TV history”

– and New Idea hears it’s going to be brutal.

“At long last the truth will come out,” assures a production source, who says the moment will no doubt cause a firestorm between the five teams, who are already at war with each other in what has fast become one of the most explosive seasons ever.

“Security will be stepped up,” the insider reveals, noting that between Victoria’s “tricky” re-emergence out of lockdown, crazed fans and warring contestants, there’s a lot to consider for the safety and wellbeing of everyone at the event.

“Emotions are high – this is the first time the contestants are coming back face to face after so much has been said and done,” the source says. “There are some very open wounds … expect tears and for one couple, no doubt a massive tantrum,” adds the source, who says the auction day revelations are set to be explosive.
