BUT DOES MIKE STILL HAVE THE MAGIC?

If a second movie makes a sequel, then a third movie definitely makes a franchise

... sort of like KFC!

Last week, Channing Tatum made the big announcement that he’s stripping down to his thong one last time in Magic Mike’s Last Dance. I’m not sure who he thinks he’s fooling, but unless Mike has a heart attack from all that bumping and grinding, he and his beefy buddies will be stripping until they’re all twirling around naked in their wheelchairs!

In real life, Channing himself became a stripper as a freshfaced lad of 19. The cash was quick, but the fun ended the night Chan gave a lap dance to a middle-aged mum who blurted out, “You remind me of my nephew,” and nearly smothered him with cuddles. He never felt more like a cheap piece of meat in his life.

Flash forward to 2012, the 32 year old spins his strip club tales into Magic Mike. If Chan thought taking home 200 bucks for shaking his bum was a good day at the office, imagine his surprise when the film made more than $167 MILLION! Man, for that kind of money even I would get my kit off and do a little jig! Three years later, Magic Mike XXL raked in more dough. Chan will be 42 when he drops his drawers again. Certainly not an old warhorse, but not exactly a spring chicken. Not to jinx him, but he may want to have medics standing by in case he breaks a hip or sprains his groin with all the gyrations. Just saying!

So while I’m personally looking forward to ‘Magic Mike 13: The Viagra Years’ or ‘Magic Mike 15: Prune Juice Jive’, eventually Channing will have to go the Sylvester Stallone Rocky route, where he teaches a younger, hotter version of himself the tricks of the trade. “You can do it, kiddo,” says old Mike. “Shake your moneymaker like you mean it!” It’s the circle of life, right?
