TENSE FRIENDSHIP
George Clooney and wife, Amal, were spotted out with Julia Roberts at Brisbane’s trendy Calile Hotel recently. The trio have been based in Queensland while George and Julia film their new rom-com, Ticket to Paradise.
But, onlookers revealed that the outing was far from friendly, as the two women appeared very tense during the meal. The pair looked uneasy as they both sat opposite George, 60, at the table. It comes amid ongoing rumours that Amal, 43, and Julia, 54, have never really got along, despite George’s decades-long friendship with the Eat Pray Love star.
To make matters worse, George has been working a lot while Amal looks after their 4-year-old twins. In fact, he was just recently spotted filming scenes at the Queen’s Wharf construction site in Brisbane, before later filming at the Spring Hill pool complex. Now, New Idea hears rumours that Amal is perhaps itching to get out of Oz and return home to the UK.
