Baz Luhrmann’s new Elvis movie starring Austin Butler in the titular role and Tom Hanks as his manager, Colonel Parker, which is out next May, is causing “major heartache” for the singer’s only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley – not least because her mother seems to have given it her tick of approval.

Priscilla has revealed she had dinner with Tom recently, in spite

of her daughter’s misgivings.

“Lisa Marie never recovered from the death of her father,” tells a source. “She attributes a lot of her addiction issues to losing him at such a young age, and does everything she can to avoid reading about him, watching him or listening to him. And now, with this movie coming out, she’s going to be bombarded by his memory again and she’s dreading it.

“She was shocked to find her mum was not only OK with it all, but wining and dining Tom Hanks. It feels like [a slap in the face] … Priscilla knows how much Lisa struggles to this day since losing Elvis.”
