Interview with the Vampire.
“Brad and Tom have wanted to work together again for years … there’s no bad blood between them anymore, despite clashing on set when they were young,” dishes a Hollywood insider. “Sure, Brad is not a fan of Tom’s religion [Scientology], having dabbled in it himself and finding it way too bizarre, but they both know they had incredible on-screen chemistry.”
In the ’90s movie, bosses feared that the two most bankable male stars would never work together again, after Brad, 58, admitted he didn’t get on with Tom, 59, while filming Interview with the Vampire.
“He bugged me,” Brad said. “There came a point during filming when I started really resenting him. He’s North Pole, I’m South. There was this underlying competition that got in the way of any real conversation.” For years, many in Tinseltown assumed Brad was on Tom’s blacklist after this comment. Things were only made worse when Brad described
Tom’s 2008 box-office bomb, Valkyrie, as “ridiculous”.
However in 2011, all seemed to be forgiven when the pair signed up for the Ford v Ferrari biopic. Eventually, both dropped out due to production delays, but they’re still keen for a rematch.
Enter Jen. “Jen has become the driving force behind it,” says the source. “A bunch of abandoned scripts have been re-tabled, from another vampire movie to a buddy action flick.
“Everyone wants to see these two superstars back on the screen together.”
