‘MY FIANCÉ IS 37 YEARS YOUNGER!’

GRANDMA CHERYL MCGREGOR, 61, FOUND LOVE WITH QURAN, 24 – AND THEY COULDN’T BE HAPPIER

-

This grandma and her toyboy lover have defied the haters by getting engaged – despite a 37-year age gap.

Cheryl Mcgregor, 61, and her now-fiancé, Quran Mccain, 24, plan to tie the knot after developing feelings for one another last year.

Despite Quran being younger than one of Cheryl’s own kids, the couple say their love life is fantastic and they have wonderful chemistry.

Cheryl, a grandma of 17, admits she occasionally gets upset by hateful comments posted on social media, where she proudly shares video snippets of their life together.

The brave couple even set up an account with Only Fans, a website where subscribers pay to watch the pair perform adult content.

“Even though it is an age gap, we never think of it because Cheryl has a very young spirit, soul and heart,” Quran tells New Idea. “I think the biggest misconception is that I’m using her or waiting to be put in the will.”

But Cheryl knows that isn’t true and says that their relationship is different to others she’s been in.

“It’s amazing,” she says.

“He’s very compassionate to me and I think it’s because he’s a younger man. I couldn’t have that with anybody else, he’s very emotional and that’s something I’ve never dealt with – [others] were all angry and he’s emotional in a good way because he shows me he really cares.”

Quran also posts details about their relationship on his Tiktok account, where he has a following of over 826,000 people from across the world and nearly 13 million likes.

The couple first met in 2012 at a fast food restaurant called Dairy Queen in Georgia, USA where Quran worked. Cheryl’s son Chris was Quran’s manager, and she would visit his workplace to check on him or get a meal. Quran was only 15 at the time and there was no romantic involvement until years down the track.

“We didn’t think much of each other,” recalls Quran. “She drove a baby blue [Porsche] Carrera and that’s the only reason I noticed her!”

Quran eventually left his job and the pair lost contact – until November 2020, when Quran went to a convenience store where Cheryl was working as a cashier.

“I used to see her every day, she would always be so happy,

but today she was sad and I asked her what was wrong and she was crying,” Quran says.

Cashier Cheryl was devastated because she had posted a video of her dancing on her Tiktok account and was receiving hate comments.

Kind Quran helped comfort her. Afterwards, they stayed in touch and even made some videos dancing together, which went viral and brought in more than a million likes.

The couple grew closer and eventually their relationship blossomed into a romantic one.

“We connected on a spiritual level,” says carer Quran.

“No matter the situation, we just have a certain vibe that connects anytime we are around each other. We went on a date and I told her I feel like I’m catching feelings.

“She said she had too, but just didn’t think we should cross that line because friends don’t always stay friends when they date.”

Despite initially trying to keep things platonic, the non-traditional lovebirds couldn’t deny their feelings any longer and started an intimate relationship.

“There’s just something between him and I that I never thought we would be together like this, he’s just an amazing person,” Cheryl says.

“There’s a different type of chemistry with him even though he’s younger, and we have a lot of chemistry because of the things we’ve been through and it pulls us closer together.”

Both Quran and Cheryl agree that their sex life is “amazing”, saying that it gets better every time.

“She knows what she’s doing – that’s the best part!” says Quran.

Cheryl is only six years younger than Quran’s grandmother and eight years

younger than his grandfather. Cheryl’s youngest daughter is just three years older than Quran at 29.

“Nobody was accepting, everyone thought we were joking or thought it was all games,” Quran says.

“Some of her seven kids turned on her due to her dating a younger black man. She was very hurt. It hurt her because she raised them to not be like that.”

But Quran insists his family were accepting, as they could see how happy he and Cheryl were together.

Social media was a different story, with Cheryl being inundated with hate messages.

“Every day someone comes for her appearance, they call her ‘zombie’, ‘the walking dead’ or ‘crypt killer’. Hateful things like ‘why did you dig her up’ or ‘take her back to the nursing home’, the hate on that app is unreal,” says Quran.

“Sometimes it makes me cry because it gets so terrible,” adds Cheryl. But Quran loves her for exactly who she is and helps her ignore the messages.

The pair continue to ignore the hate and post videos online of them swaying to popular R&B or rap tunes and racking up hundreds of thousands of views each time.

Despite all the comments, the happy couple try to remain positive and focus on their legions of fans.

The pair got engaged in July last year and hope to get married as soon as possible.

Sharing her advice for love, Cheryl adds: “Don’t look for love because it will find you, because I wasn’t looking for love and it found me, and it’s amazing.”
