COACHES BLINDSIDED BY KEITH’S SHOCK EXIT!

Thanks to nationwide fanfare and its superstar coaches, Seven’s The Voice has cemented itself as a must-watch show. Now with its world-first spin-off, The Voice Generations,
launching this week, all eyes are back on the series. Yet, as pressure to maintain the ratings hot streak mounts, a curve ball the size of Nashville could be on its way!
Last week it was announced that beloved coach Keith Urban, 54, will take over some of Adele’s vacated concert dates in Las Vegas in March and April, after she pulled the plug at the last minute.
Then, he’ll be taking his massive The Speed of Now World Tour on the road,
after delaying it for two years due to the global pandemic.
“Keith’s been desperate to do this tour. He can’t wait to get back on stage, doing what he loves,” says a source.
However, as Keith will be travelling for months, insiders wonder if he’ll want to commit to another round of busy filming schedules in 2023 without taking a break.
The second season of The Voice recently wrapped filming and is expected to air later in 2022. Insiders claim if Keith does sit a season out, his fellow coaches Jessica Mauboy, Guy Sebastian and Rita Ora will be quite upset, given the chemistry as a quartet has been integral to the show’s success.
It wouldn’t be the first time personal projects have seen Keith depart the series. He only starred in the Nine Network’s inaugural season in 2012 before leaving.
Ricky Martin replaced him.
“I’ve been so fortunate to have been a part of The Voice,” Keith told fans at the time after news broke of his shock exit. “And as much as I’d love to do it again, it’s clear that the recording and promoting of a new album, a tour and other commitments will keep me from being a part of the second season.”
