NINE’S RISING STARS WAIT IN THE WINGS!

-

They’re the well-deserving heirs apparent, and if the stellar performances of Today’s summer hosts, Sarah Abo and Charles Croucher, are anything to go by, then it looks like this impressive duo could be the next big threat in the breakfast TV wars. “They both have proper journalistic backgrounds – and yet they managed to find a healthy balance between being entertaining and informative all in one,” a network insider tells New Idea. “Sarah already is highly respected as a senior reporter for 60 Minutes, and it looks like Charles could even end up over there with her. They’ve really caught the eye of Nine’s CEO, Mike Sneesby, who would be sizing them up as the likely replacements for Karl and Ally if things ever go pear-shaped.” It remains to be seen what Nine’s next move will be, but it’s safe to say the very experienced Sarah, 35, and Charles, 33, are Nine’s new secret weapons! “They could sign them up for less than what Karl earns in a year! They’re the sort of double act that might just be the answer to Today’s ratings woes,” teases the source.
