MEGHAN DENOUNCES CAMILLA
Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, is standing by his side amid his upset over Camilla’s title change.
“Camilla represents everything Meghan disliked about royal life,” says a source. “She was tight with all the reporters who Meghan felt were giving her a horrible time in the papers.
“Meghan expected her to pull away, but Camilla didn’t budge. That cemented things for Meghan.”
Indeed, Meghan’s archnemesis Piers Morgan, who was fired from Good Morning Britain in 2021 for calling the duchess a liar, last weekend revealed his close friendship with Camilla. Piers claimed Camilla confessed in December that she “misses” watching him every morning – and used to get up early to do so.
“I texted her son, Tom, a longtime friend, when I heard the Queen’s statement,” Piers said. “What a wonderful moment for your mother. Absolutely thrilled for her … please pass on my sincere congratulations.”
Tom said Camilla “always appreciated” Piers’ support.
“To Meghan, that says it all,” says the source. “Camilla is no queen of hers.”
