‘HELP FIND OUR FURR-EVER HOMES!’

TAKING IN AN ANIMAL CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE

-

Every year countless animals are given up for adoption through no fault of their own. To mark National Pet Adoption Day, we’re profiling six adorable animals who are seeking a permanent home.

ROMEO THE GREAT DANE

This gentle giant was sadly surrendered to the RSPCA despite his kind and caring nature. Weighing an impressive 68kg, cuddly Romeo makes friends wherever he goes. For many though, he’s just too big, so Romeo is after someone with a big heart to take him to a home where size doesn’t matter.

TABBY FLYNN RIDER

Despite having just three legs, 9-month tabby Flynn Rider has not slowed down. He was named after the male lead in the Disney movie, Tangled, for his sweet and sensitive personality. There is nothing this little boy loves more than cuddles and more cuddles. Flynn’s favourite toy is a cardboard box, making him easy to please!

BILLY THE RABBIT

Three-month-old Billy was born at the RSPCA Sydney shelter. Staff dote on the rabbit, but he is ready for his new home. Billy loves people so much he’ll hop up to a person and say hello. He’s a fan of a smooch and a cuddle, making him a loving companion.

GRACE THE SHAR PEI

Grace has spent a whopping 320 days in the care of RSPCA workers. So long that she even celebrated her 12th birthday with her carer, Shontelle (left). While Grace is a senior, she is still young at heart and loves learning new tricks. There isn’t much this Shar Pei/staffordshire bull terrier cross won’t do for a piece of chicken. The adorable pooch is looking for a quiet home where she can chill out in front of the TV with her forever family.

CHILLI AND PEPPA

This adorable duo are a bonded pair who would need to be adopted together. Chilli and Peppa arrived at the RSPCA feeling shy, and hid all of the time. Thankfully, with the help of a kind-hearted foster parent who showed them a lot of love and patience, they’ve come out of their shells. Chilli is the adventurous leader who will take charge of investigating new environments. He has an impressive purr and loves to sit up like a meerkat on his back legs for attention. Once Chilli gives something the all-clear, Peppa, who has the sweetest meow, will join in. This pair would make a perfect addition to any home.

WHY CONSIDER ADOPTION?

Dedicated staff at the RSPCA say adopting a pet means you will be changing that animal’s life. There are far too many animals who have found themselves in need of a second chance. Every single one of them deserves safety and love, and it’s really up to everyday people to open their hearts and homes to give them that.

The unconditional love you get in return is incredible. Not only will you be making a difference to your pet, you will be making a difference for animals everywhere by helping rescues make room for the next animal in need.

Animals adopted from RSPCA NSW and other rescue organisations have been cared for. They come desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and vet-checked.
