HOW TO PREPARE AN AVOCADO
A ripe avocado will yield gently to a little pressure right near the stem. To prepare an avocado:
• Using a sharp knife, carefully cut the avocado lengthways around the seed. • Holding both halves in your hands, rotate them to separate.
• Remove the seed by holding the halved avocado in your hand, then slide the tip of a spoon underneath and lift it out. • Starting at the small end of the avocado, peel away the skin and slice, or leave skin on and scoop out the flesh using a dessert spoon.
