PANDEMIC PARENTING TIPS!
Jo suggests these helpful tricks for frazzled families
COMMUNICATE: Kids need to be seen and heard – so do we. BE INFORMATION AWARE:
Share what’s age-appropriate and ask them what they’ve heard or read, and then debunk it so they don’t worry. SCHEDULE ‘ME TIME’: If you don’t relax, you’ll seem tense to the kids. JUST BREATHE: A great way to de-stress and calm down is to breathe deeply. I call it ‘belly breathing’.
BE SILLY: Give yourself permission as a family to get outside, get some fresh air and to have fun.
REGULATE TECH: Make sure your kids are using technology in moderation and that they take regular breaks to safeguard their eye health. DON’T BEAT YOURSELF UP:
Remember that your kids know you’re trying your best, and don’t beat yourself up for not being ‘perfect’.
