TOUCHING TRIBUTE TO BERT & PATTI

The late Bert Newton’s adoration for his wife, Patti, has been encapsulated in a new portrait entered into this year’s Archibald Prize. Painted by Melbourne artist Margaret Dawson, the stunning artwork sees Patti, 77, wearing a glamorous ensemble as she poses next to a window. In a touching nod to his famous nickname ‘Moonface’, Bert can be seen in the moon, smiling down on his beloved. “I love that Bert is watching me in the moon,” an emotional Patti said after the portrait was unveiled to the public.
