THE 94TH ACADEMY AWARDS WERE DEFINITELY A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

Jessica Chastain was glamorous in green as she celebrated winning Best Actress at this year’s Oscars. Although the ceremony was marred in controvers­y (see page 6), history was still made when CODA,

a film partially told in American Sign Language, was named Best Picture. The movie also won Best Supporting Actor for deaf actor, Troy Kotsur, and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Jane Campion took home Best Director, becoming only the third woman in the Academy’s 94-year history to do so.
