THE MYSTERIOUS MISSING FRAUDSTER

-

The deceit, deception and disappearance of alleged con woman Melissa Caddick is one that is shrouded in mystery and left the world miffed after she went missing without a trace on November 12, 2020.

The following year, she was presumed dead after a grisly discovery was made on a NSW beach, in which a shoe was found containing the remains of her foot.

Married to Anthony Koletti, 41, the mother-of-one’s high-rolling, lavish Sydney lifestyle came to light when investigations were underway into her alleged embezzling of millions of dollars.

Australian Federal Police raided Caddick’s multimillion-dollar Dover Heights home on behalf of corporate regulator ASIC, after they found evidence in the form of fake business documents of her swindling over $23 million from dozens of investors.

The 49-year-old was allegedly operating a Ponzi scheme through her company, Maliver, in which she used money collected from new investors to pay existing stakeholders.

Caddick used her illegitimate fortune to fund her opulent lifestyle.

When under investigation, personal bank records showed that Caddick had spent millions of dollars on luxury homes, clothes, accessories, cars and travel.

A day after the Australian Federal Police raided her home over claims of fraud, Caddick went for a run and was never seen again.

Since then, rumours about what happened to Caddick have abounded. Some say murder, others believe she took her own life, and then there’s wilder speculation that she’s still alive and cut off her own foot as a ruse!

To this day there are so many questions that remain unanswered in the case of Melissa ‘con woman’ Caddick, making it one of the most high-profile scam cases in Australian history.
