IT’S SUN, SURF AND SMILES DURING A CATCH-UP WITH AN OLD MATE
Rose Byrne certainly knows how to make a splash! Looking amazing in a retroinspired bikini, the Aussie actress turned heads as she enjoyed a day at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach.
Us-based Rose, who grew up in Sydney, was joined by her good friend and fellow actor, Kick Gurry. The duo appeared to have lots to catch up on as they made their way into the surf. Rose, 42, then clung onto Kick, 43, as they frolicked in the waves.
Rose and Kick’s friendship spans decades, as well as shared housing! After breaking into the Aussie film industry at similar times – Rose via Two Hands and Kick in Looking for Alibrandi – the pals headed to the US together in the early noughties to try and crack Hollywood. They were roommates for about three years.
“We really put our heads down and said let’s try and get some work here,” Kick recalls.
Not joining Rose and Kick for their beach outing was her partner, Bobby Cannavale. Rose started dating Bobby in 2012. Together, they share two young sons, and although they aren’t married, they admit to calling each other “husband and wife”.
