They’ve been married for 25 years this May, but Sarah Jessica Parker occasionally still feels like a “consolation prize” to husband Matthew Broderick’s former flame, Jennifer Grey, according to sources.
Matthew was very much planning his future with the Dirty Dancing actress until a car crash in Ireland in 1987 changed everything. Tragically, a mother and her adult daughter were killed in the head-on collision. While Jennifer and Matthew
survived, the aftermath “tore them apart”, says one source.
“Sarah is able to get Matthew to open up about the accident, but not so much about Jennifer. She was Matthew’s first love.”
