THE RAFTERS ACTRESS HAS A SURPRISE NEW JOB
Customers at a Sydney cafe got quite the shock after placing their brekkie orders recently, with former Packed to the Rafters actress Jessica Marais serving up their lattes and smashed avo toast!
New Idea has heard that Jess, 37, picked up a job at Clovelly eatery, Gordons Cafe – and it appears this more down-to-earth gig suits her just fine!
“Jess seems really happy,” says a customer. “She was very friendly.”
Jess began her career on the hit Channel 7 show and was set to reprise her role as Rachel Rafter in the 2021 reboot before pulling out prior to filming.
Mum to 9-year-old Scout, whose dad is Home and Away hunk James Stewart, Jess relocated to the US to pursue a Hollywood career that saw her cast in the drama Magic City.
She returned home to star in Love Child
– winning a slew of Logies in the process – before she took a step back from acting amid her mental health struggles.
