CREATE A SOOTHING SANCTUARY WITH THE LATEST INTERIORS TRENDS

-

When it comes to interiors, your bathroom can often be overlooked. However, with the right design and decor, it can become one of the most tranquil spaces in your home.

Andy Grigor, head of design and innovation at Methven, details the latest trends to follow to create a peaceful and relaxing space.

NICE & NATURAL

After spending so much time indoors over the past few years, it’s no wonder we want to bring the calming hues of

nature inside. “The connection to nature and earthy raw colours and textures provides a calming yet resort-luxe feel to an ultimate bathroom sanctuary,” says Andy.

As a result, there’s been an increase in simple designs featuring natural materials such as stone and wood, with bathroom fixtures accentuating these details. “For tapware, clean lines and a minimalist touch will enable other features in the bathroom, like the shower design, to become the hero feature,” explains Andy.

GO GREEN!

Whether you’re thinking of long-term changes or a few

pops of accent colour with accessories to brighten up your space, green hues have become the go-to colour of the moment. “There is no ignoring the dominance of green, which is growing in popularity,” says Andy.

A design feature such as forest green tiling or an olive feature wall could be what’s needed to give your bathroom a seasonal spruce-up. Looking for something more budget friendly? Add a pot plant!
