Check the crisper for any vegie bits – these are perfect to make a tasty stock paste. Process chopped-up vegie bits with a few fresh herbs and 2 tsps salt per cup. Place into an ice cube tray and freeze. Pop frozen cubes into snap-lock bags and freeze for up to 3 months. Add cubes to soups, casseroles and sauces for an instant flavour boost.
