If you’re late to the party, ‘slugging’ started off as a Tiktok skincare trend that involved slathering on copious amounts of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) before bed to lock in moisture. Now, the technique has been applied to treating dry hair.

HOW IT WORKS: Opt for a lightweight oil that doesn’t need to be washed out and apply to the ends of your strands. Wrap your mane in a silk scarf or head wrap and go to sleep. Expect shinier, silkier and softer locks come morning.
