SPLIT TURNS NASTY
Madeleine West has seemingly hit back at her ex-partner, Shannon Bennett, after he recently suggested that he was the primary carer for their six children.
Things took a nasty turn when Shannon, 46, told the Herald Sun that their children, aged between 8 and 16, live with him “full-time” in Byron Bay, NSW, and only see their mother “every fortnight for a few days”.
But Madeleine, 41, appeared to respond to these claims via a series of pointed yet cryptic Instagram posts.
The former Neighbours actress initially seemed to reply by sharing a sweet photo of herself cuddling three of her children, alongside the caption: “All I need is right here.”
She followed this up by reposting a quote which read: “Sometimes the universe tests you the most when you’re close to a new chapter.”
Finally, the actress-turnedpolitical candidate doubleddown by posting Michelle Obama’s famous quote about maintaining dignity in the face of adversity, which reads: “When they go low, we go high.”
Since their 2018 split, Madeleine has spoken at length about her break up from Shannon, an award-winning restaurateur, explaining that the separation process had “turned love toxic”.
