Jennifer Lopez is not too happy with ex-husband Marc Anthony, after he announced his engagement to former Miss Universe contestant Nadia Ferreira, 23.
Friends say J.LO is “upset” for several reasons, namely that the proposal comes just over a month after the singer announced her own engagement to Ben Affleck.
“It’s cast a shadow over things … But this isn’t just about stealing Jen’s thunder,” says a pal. “She thinks it’s way too rushed. Marc and Nadia have been together for barely six months.”
J.LO and Marc were married from 2004 to 2014 and share 12-year-old twins Max and Emme. A year after their divorce was finalised, he wed Shannon De Lima, but the couple split in 2017.
Adding insult to injury, the source claims Marc didn’t even give his famous ex a heads up before he and Nadia announced their happy news to the world on Instagram.
“Jen is not happy with Marc right now – she just doesn’t understand his motivations or his timing. If he thinks he’s in some weird competition with Jen and Ben, he’s dead wrong,” says the source.
