TEACHER’S PET
HEADED FOR THE SCREEN
It’s no surprise that after the headline-making trial of Chris Dawson over the murder 40 years ago of his wife Lynette, Hollywood has come running to tell the story – with some major Aussie talent involved.
Sources reveal Hedley Thomas, who created the Teacher’s Pet podcast in 2018 that led to authorities reopening the investigation, has inked a deal with US producing powerhouse Jason Blum
(Get Out) to develop a scripted series about the case.
Joel Edgerton is rumoured to be stepping up as a producer and possible star, with Hugh Jackman also touted as being keen on a role.
Netflix is said to be developing its own take, with Eric Bana linked to the project.
