COWBOY SHOWDOWN!

YELLOWSTONE RANCH AIN’T BIG ENOUGH FOR THE BOTH OF THEM

-

It’s one of the most popular shows in the world, but a clash of the egos is going down behind the scenes of Western drama Yellowstone.

While the show’s star Kevin Costner has enjoyed a four-year run as the patriarch of the Dutton clan, a new cowboy has arrived in town to shake things up – Harrison Ford.

The bona fide Hollywood icon has been cast in the prequel series 1923, and it’s said to have put Kevin’s “nose out of joint”.

“The bosses are exploding with pride that they were even able to get [Harrison] for this series,” reveals one show insider. “Kevin’s a big star too, but Harrison is a walking legend.”

It appears that Kevin, 67, might be taking his role as surly cattle rancher John Dutton a bit too far as well – which hasn’t won him any fans among the crew once the cameras stop rolling.

“Kevin’s not exactly a warm and cuddly person and every other word out of his mouth is an expletive, just like his character – at least Harrison cracks a smile now and then,” says the spy.

On the other hand, Harrison, 80, is a breeze to work with.

“Everyone’s saying what a great guy Harrison is,” says the insider. “So easy to work with, friendly with the crew, no star trips.”

Since coming on board as the lead and producer of Yellowstone in 2018, Kevin has seen a resurgence in his star power. He also pockets a massive $780,000 salary per episode. So sharing the spotlight with Harrison was never going to be easy.

“They’ve competed for years for roles and now some are betting that 1923 is going to knock Kevin off that high horse he’s been riding,” says the insider.
