Dominic West is having a right royal time filming The Crown’s sixth and final season – and some are wondering if it’s because he’s getting to work with a gorgeous new co-star.
During a filming break at The University of St Andrews in Scotland, Dominic, who plays Prince Charles in the series, was seen getting cosy with Meg Bellamy, who is portraying a young Kate Middleton.
At one point Dominic, 53, pulled the pretty brunette in for a warm embrace. As he leant his head on hers, onlookers say “a Cheshire cat grin” emerged on his face Dominic was previously in hot water after he had a romantic rendezvous with Lily James in 2020, while making their miniseries The Pursuit of Love.
The pair were seen canoodling in Rome, despite the fact Dominic’s been married to wife, Catherine Fitzgerald, since 2010.
With the photos of Dominic and Lily making headlines, he and Catherine issued a statement insisting they were still together.
The insider stresses that history is not repeating itself with Meg and the pair are just pals.
With The Crown being her first job, we’re told the newcomer is thrilled to be working with an actor of Dominic’s calibre, and is just trying to learn as much as she can.
Indeed, Meg had no professional experience when she responded to an opening casting call to play Kate. After a lengthy audition process she landed the star-making role.
“Pinch me, please,” Meg said on Instagram after her casting was revealed. “I will strive to do Kate justice.”
Kate and Prince William’s university romance will be a major part of The Crown’s last innings.
